Dr. David A. Smith, DDS

David A. Smith, DDS, chose dentistry as his life's work because he has the privilege to serve people in a truly life-changing way. His dedication and passion for transforming smiles were recognized when he was appointed Makeover Dentist of 2008 by Indianapolis Woman Magazine.

After graduating from Indiana University with a Doctor of Dental Science degree in 1984, Dr. Smith made the conscious decision to merge his background in biological science with his exceptional hand skills. This led him down the path of dentistry, a field that seemed like the perfect match for his talents. From establishing his first practice in Fishers, Indiana, Really Smile has blossomed into something far beyond just a typical dental office.

David A. Smith, DDS, has always been dedicated to providing advanced care in a personalized setting while continuously improving his skills and expanding his knowledge base. He has undergone training with esteemed professionals such as Niles Guichet, DDS, and Lawrence Funt, DDS. However, it was his most recent training at the Las Vegas Institute (LVI) that truly elevated his practice to new heights.

LVI is renowned globally as the top postgraduate dental teaching center, attracting only the finest and most innovative dentists in the industry. Through this association, Dr. Smith has had the privilege of offering proactive rather than reactive dental care to his patients. Whether he's performing intricate procedures like dental implants or advocating for basic preventative dentistry practices, Dr. Smith finds great satisfaction in going above and beyond for those under his care.

Dr. Smith is a highly skilled and specialized neuromuscular dentist in the area, offering unique programs that focus on treating head and neck pain while also restoring patients to optimal dental health. Through years of training and experience, Dr. Smith has developed expertise in addressing issues related to the alignment of the jaw and its impact on overall well-being.

David A. Smith, DDS, is a long-time resident of the Indianapolis area, where he resides with his wife, Julie, and their two children. His daughter is pursuing a degree in public health promotions at Purdue University, while his son has recently graduated from West Point and serves as a field artillery officer in the Army.

Dr. Smith's dedication to youth sports is evident through his coaching of baseball and basketball teams in Fishers, as well as his involvement on the Board for the Cathedral-Chatard High School Hockey program. As an Eagle Scout, Dr. Smith still finds solace in nature and enjoys spending time outdoors with his family. In his leisure hours, he can be found playing tennis or golfing, all while indulging in a good book. With a passion for dentistry that shines through every aspect of his life, Dr. Smith considers himself fortunate to have found joy in both work and personal pursuits.
