Dr. David A. Smith
Dr. Smith is a long time resident of the northeast side of Indianapolis. He is married
and with his wife Julie, have two teenage children. He is an Eagle Scout, graduate of
North Central High School, and attended college at Indiana University where he received
numerous honors and graduated with a D.D.S. degree in 1984.
Dr. Smith has spent the years following his graduation expanding and fine tuning his dental treatment skills.
He has taken numerous courses over the years dealing with problems that do not allow the teeth, bones,
muscles and joints to work in harmony.
Dr. Smith has maintained a strong interest in making the best looking, strongest and longest lasting
restorations that are possible. To this end, he has taken numerous lectures by leaders in the field of
adhesive and cosmetic dentistry.
These courses laid a good foundation for comprehensive training at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced
Dental Studies (LVI). Since most cosmetic dental problems are actually an expression of undiagnosed or
untreated functional problems, LVI has evolved into the premier program for the correction of functional
problems and if needed, the cosmetic restoration of the teeth.
He is a past faculty member at the Indiana University School of Dentistry. He is a member of the
American Dental Association, Indiana Dental Association, Indianapolis District Dental Society,
Chicago Dental Society, International College of Cranio-Mandibular Orthopedics and the Academy of
General Dentistry.
